To meet the requirements of the Norwegian Transparency Act of 1st July 2022, we have launched wide ranging due diligence measures. We have also implemented tangible control mechanisms to identify, prevent and handle risks related to human rights and working conditions.
Due diligence
As a turnkey contractor for infrastructure development, Bracom AS relies on a complex network of suppliers and partners. To ensure that we comply with our ethical obligations, we carry out due diligence assessments in accordance with international guidelines, including the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises and the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.
The process for our due diligence assessments includes:
Risk mapping: We assess risks of adverse impacts on human rights and working conditions within our operations and supply chain. This includes a thorough analysis of our suppliers and the procurement of goods and services.
Risk management measures: We implement measures to stop, prevent or mitigate identified risks. This may involve setting strict requirements for our suppliers and working closely with them to ensure compliance.
Monitoring and evaluation: We continuously monitor the effectiveness of our measures and assess the need for adjustments to ensure continuous improvement.

Stricter procedures and guidelines: When we enter into new cooperation agreements with subcontractors and suppliers, a pre-qualification process is carried out using a detailed checklist to ensure understanding of and compliance with the company’s Code of Conduct. Our Code of Conduct sets out requirements regarding human rights, working conditions and the environment in accordance with international standards and conventions.
Training and awareness-raising: We run training programmes for our employees and suppliers to raise awareness of the importance of human rights and decent working conditions.
Close collaboration: We work closely with our partners to ensure that our measures are effective and sustainable.
