With fewer than 25 colleagues at our Oslo office, fielding a full team for this year’s Holmenkollen Relay was no small achievement. The annual relay race through Oslo is one of Norway’s largest corporate sporting events, and this year the BraCom team improved last year’s time by an impressive 90 seconds.

The team gathered in the park before the start. Good spirits and plenty of energy set the tone for the day.

A Team Effort from Start to Finish

The day began with an informal gathering in the park, where runners and supporters met before the race to prepare, go through the course and enjoy some time together. Despite unpredictable weather, spirits remained high. With crowded transition zones and thousands of runners, good teamwork is essential. Anders Ruttenborg coordinated the team and assigned the different relay stages.

“With a relatively small office, we depend on people stepping up when asked. Everyone gave their all, and improving last year’s time by 90 seconds says a lot about the competitive spirit and teamwork we have at the office,” says Anders.

For Nora Bringaker, this was her first time running for BraCom.

“I mainly joined for the social experience. The race itself was tougher than expected, but with colleagues, friends and family cheering along the course, you get a real adrenaline boost. Beating last year’s time was great, but what mattered most was that there was no pressure from the company. We were doing it for fun,” says Nora.

Celebrating Together

After crossing the finish line, the team continued the evening at Shutter Rooftop Bar for dinner and a well-earned celebration.

Both runners and supporters joined in, and one colleague even flew home from Germany specifically to take part in the evening. With good food, good company and views across Oslo, it was a fitting end to a successful day.
