BraCom has signed a new agreement with GlobalConnect to develop several new areas as part of the continued expansion of GlobalConnect’s fiber network in Norway. The agreement covers fiber connections for approximately 900 new households across nine projects in different parts of Eastern Norway.
“By expanding digital infrastructure across the Nordic region and Northern Europe, GlobalConnect contributes to greater digitalisation and resilience in the region. We look forward to working with BraCom on these important projects in Eastern Norway,” says Kenneth Sunde, Head of the Consumer Market at GlobalConnect.
Sinthuryan Ponnuthurai, Project Director at BraCom, appreciates the continued trust:
“We greatly appreciate that GlobalConnect has once again given us the opportunity to build critical infrastructure for more households in Norway. We have extensive experience working with GlobalConnect B2C Norway, and this agreement gives us a great opportunity to raise the bar for efficient project delivery in the industry. With a tight schedule and clear objectives, we will draw on both our own expertise and the capabilities of our carefully selected subcontractors to deliver to a high standard.”

Work begins with detailed planning, obtaining the necessary permits and allocating resources. Construction has already started on some of the projects, with the main phase beginning around the end of August and the start of September.
To ensure sufficient capacity during the busy period leading into 2026, BraCom will work with several subcontractors across different regions. All nine projects are scheduled for completion by the end of 2025.
BraCom looks forward to continuing its strong collaboration with GlobalConnect and everyone involved in the projects.
