“We are continuing our focus on talented recent graduates in 2026,” says Managing Director Erling-Geir Iversen. “Expertise, continuous improvement and new tools have always paid off for BraCom,” he says.
The Oslo-based infrastructure company has strengthened its team with Nora Idsøe Bringaker and Ida Holmevik Løkkebø, civil engineers from the University of Bergen’s Master’s programme in Energy, and Audun Houg, a graduate in Business Administration from NHH in Bergen.
Houg holds a Master of Science in Business Analytics and brings in-depth knowledge of modelling and statistics to his first full-time job after completing his studies.

‘The best way to transfer knowledge is through meetings with experienced colleagues,’ says Audun Houg (standing).
“It’s been exciting to be given ownership of a process right from the first few weeks here at BraCom,” says Houg. Together with Bringaker, he is developing a dashboard to support the company in the continuous automation of processes. BraCom’s main planning tool is Monday, and the two new recruits are tasked with configuring a brand-new extension.
“We’re experimenting with a software extension where AI agents and other automation are woven into the work processes,” says Bringaker. “These are new tools without an extensive ecosystem of forums and user support. It means more exploration and testing, and more responsibility, which we like!” she says.
All three feel that their time at university has given them a solid foundation. “I think my degree has prepared me well,” says Bringaker. “Even without specialist knowledge of fibre or infrastructure, I feel I can handle many processes at once, and I’m used to getting to grips with new systems.”

‘It’s fun to be given responsibility for new AI tools and automation early on in my career,’ says Nora Idsøe Bringaker (front).
Løkkebø says that things moved quickly from the job offer at BraCom to securing a flat in Oslo and starting in January. Infrastructure, specifically fibre networks, is a new field for her, with much to learn.
“You always get something out of reading material, but there are so many abbreviations and so many products in this industry that the best way to gain knowledge is through dialogue with experienced staff,” says Houg. “At BraCom, I’ve met a very welcoming team, who are good at taking us new recruits under their wing and getting us involved in meetings.”
Houg says it is exciting to work somewhere with an international focus. He hopes for future opportunities to join BraCom in the field to learn more about fibre and infrastructure elsewhere in Europe. In the meantime, he is applying his studies in the programming languages R, Python and MATLAB to streamline the complex project management that BraCom delivers for its clients.
“As I transition into working life, I can see the benefits of pseudocode: simple logic flows to optimise processes. In day-to-day work at BraCom, it’s useful to have more intuitive data modules that can easily be shared externally or with colleagues,” he says.
“UiB has given us a model-oriented degree, but at the same time, our studies have prepared us for everyday working life,” say Bringaker and Løkkebø. Work placements, master’s theses and other challenges expose many of the students to simulation tools such as OpenFast, FLACS and, for example, LCA, for sustainability analysis. You get used to navigating resource bases such as GitHub.
“We’re given instructions on what kind of data the senior staff need, and then we develop the technical solutions ourselves. It’s fun to be given so much responsibility. Ownership of data is also a good way to acquire specialist knowledge about infrastructure,” says Houg.
